Scaling tech-driven solutions for well-being – together

NN Social Innovation Startup Award

After successful editions in 2024 and 2025, the NN Social Innovation Startup Award returns during the Hello Tomorrow Summit in Amsterdam on the 11th of June 2026. Finalists will pitch their ventures live on stage and receive tailored support to scale their impact.

Transforming well-being and creating equal opportunities together

We believe that equal opportunities and well-being should be within reach for everyone.

But we also know that access is not evenly distributed. Millions of people face mental health challenges, barriers to quality care, or financial insecurity—often with little support. While innovation is reshaping many industries, few tech solutions are designed to support those whose well-being is under pressure or at risk, and don’t have access to opportunities.

This award was created to change that. Not just with funding, but with lasting support—connecting mission-driven startups to the knowledge, networks, and resources they need to scale.

We’re not just hosting a pitch event. We’re building a community of founders, investors and partners committed to reshaping access to well-being. Together, we’re closing the gap—startup by startup.

“The award gave us more than recognition. It gave us the confidence and backing to grow faster, and with more focus. We teamed-up with people who understood both our mission and our business potential, and that combination is rare. The impact is not just in numbers—it’s in the stories of kids gaining confidence, and parents finally feeling supported.”

Mariusz Pitura, co-founder of The Linghos

FAQ

Questions? Fire away!

Do I have to give up equity?

No. The capital is a grant—not an investment. It’s yours to use in the way that best supports your mission.

What if I can’t attend the final in person?

The final takes place in Amsterdam on June 11th. We ask that at least one founder is available to pitch live. Can’t make it? Let us know in your application—we’ll explore options.

Our impact is hard to measure. Can we still apply?

Yes. We know impact is hard to quantify early on. Describe your mission and how your product contributes to long-term change. If selected, we’ll help you finetune your impact story.

We’ve raised convertible loans. Are we still eligible?

Yes. You’re welcome to apply. This is a non-dilutive grant, and convertible loans do not disqualify you.

What support will we get from Rubio?

You’ll have a dedicated Rubio team member as a mentor, access to our founder platform with tools and offers, and introductions within our portfolio network. We don’t guarantee follow-on investment, but we can continue supporting you in future rounds—up to €10M per company.

What support will we get from the NN Group?

Finalists will be matched with a mentor from NN Group. Together, you’ll co-create a support plan aligned with your scaling needs. You’ll also gain access to NN Group’s volunteer programme—bringing skills, time, and experience to your mission.
